And here we thought bees were endangered. Who knew Trump was such a conservationist? I can sleep easy now. Thank you ever so, Cass. That's what I'm here for, Poet. I'm a helper. I help. Just like Trump.

Jeez, that reads like the guy hollering out the car window that I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS while his friend rolls his eyes and keeps driving. What an absolute fuckwit.
Then again, I should thank him for illustrating exactly why I quit Twitter.

Then again, I should thank him for illustrating exactly why I quit Twitter. True. But I must point out that Twitter also has stuff like this: I mean, on the one hand I'm terrified that our POTUS is tweeting deranged threats. On the other, I'm giggling like an idiot at the people mocking him. We're totally all going to fucking die before we make it to 2020, so we may as well get a laugh out of it.

By the way,Trump's twitter feed this last 24 hours has reached new levels of batshittery. Take a look. Invoking Article 25 seems less far-fetched to me than it did. He seems downright unhinged, shooting off crazy stuff, most of it utterly false, on topics at random. Yeah I know he's Trump, but it really is nutso even for him. mobile.twitter.com/realDonaldTrump

You're braver than I, Cass. I can't even stand to hear his voice.
It's not a political thing. And no, FFS, I'm NOT a lefty - I stayed where I was, possibly a touch left but not very, while much of the world headed right, I'm sure at least partly out of spite.
With or without politics, the guy was, is, has always been, and always will be a repugnant human being.

The US has definitely taken a hard turn to the right and I think the world in general is following suit. I suppose I would consider myself slight left of center these days. I've previously always considered myself fairly dead center based on how often I agree with right policies and left policies.

I've previously always considered myself fairly dead center based on how often I agree with right policies and left policies. I too now find myself further left that I was a few years ago, but I don't think it's me that's moved. I too can't bear Trump's voice. I read what he says (and if I think tone might make a difference, I brace myself and listen) because the batshit dude is POTUS, can do a buttload of damage, and I feel a responsibility as a citizen to keep abreast. That also enables me to protest, write congress critters, volunteer to help people, etc., when his batshittery has made it necessary. It interests me (read that as fucking appalls me) that many who voted for Trump and would do so again feel no such responsibility. They'd rather not know what terrifying batshit things he's saying and doing so they can pretend everything is fine.

So...amid the uproar about the fact Trump won't tell his own aides, much less the American people, what happened in his one-on-one summit with Putin (we get our updates via Russian state media, as Putin decides to release it), and the fact that he's planning a second summit with Putin, Trump decides to do this: www.cnn.com/2018/07/24/politics/foreign-leaders-call-white-house/From the CNN article:

And yeah, it seems the American people are just a bit dubious about what's going on between Trump and Putin The poll: poll.qu.edu/national/release-detail?ReleaseID=2557A few things I found notable that relate to the Trump/Putin summit and relations with Russia: -- The Helsinki summit between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin was a failure for the U.S., voters say 52 - 27 percent. The summit was a success for Russia, voters say 73 - 8 percent. -- Trump was not acting in the best interest of the U.S., voters say 54 - 41 percent. -- President Trump should defend all of America's NATO allies, American voters say 78 - 16 percent. -- A total of 68 percent of American voters are "very concerned" or "somewhat concerned" about President Trump's relationship with Russia, while 32 percent are "not so concerned" or "not concerned at all." It will not surprise you to learn that Democrats are far more negative on Trump and his performance than Republicans, strikingly so. However, the numbers on these things demonstrate that it is not just Democrats feeling at way.
