Indeed. Great article in the Atlantic on how conservatives are awakening to the harm conspiracy theorists like Hannity are doing. www.theatlantic.com/amp/article/528144/I am, as of this morning, without cable tv. I disconnected my DirectTV service. They are apparently one of the biggest advertisers on Hannity's show. Heh. Ironically, this was brought to my attention by a tweet from a Hannity fan urging people to support a list of Hannity's advertisers. I normally don't do that sort of thing -- but I really thought the Seth Rich thing was inexcusable and incredibly harmful, both to Rich's family and to our country. I'm not a yuuuge boycott person, but when it comes to rabid peddlers of blatantly false information, I'm in.

The ugly, false Seth Rich story still continues to circulate among Hannity's fans in right-wing twitter comments, and that sucks.
What also sucks us that some on the left are apparently playing tit for tat with the Peter Smith suicide story. See, e.g , Ted Lieu.
Smith, you might recall, was the GOP operative who sought Clinton emails from Russian hackers. He was apparently in bad health. He committed suicide, leaving a note indicating it really was a suicide and not foul play.
If it really were foul play, I really doubt the murderers would leave that kind of note, and that the police would have any incentive to cover it up.
This has got to be hard enough on the family without people politicizing it. It sucked when it happened with Seth Rich's tragic death, and it sucks now. I tweeted Lieu and told him so.

it's ridiculous and it's repulsive. I wasn't the only one who tweeted Lieu to cut it out, and he seems to have done so. The left wing attempt to turn this into a murder mystery seems to have died down.
Alas, though, the right wing twitter bots have picked up the ball and added it to their list of the alleged Clinton murders.
I can't bring myself to post examples. If you want 'em, look under the #petersmith hashtag.
People suck. They really do.

Damn it. I missed that tweet. He needs a kick in the ass. It's really irresponsible out of someone as high-profile as he is.
GOD, people suck.

Note that Sean Spicer admits he met with Fox at the White House about the Seth Rich story a month before it ran.

page from the lawsuit. Alleges false quotes were attributed to Mr. Wheeler because Trump wanted them.

You can listen to the voicemail mentioned above at this tweet: "the White House is onto this now."
