To be fair, Janet Hubert has had no career since she got fired from Fresh Prince for being difficult to work with.
Also, I just can't take anyone seriously who invokes race/privilege in every issue. It's nothing more than a faux-virtuous cry for "oppression attention." And Hubert doing it here seems a lot like a "hey! Remember me? Please help me to feel relevant again" post.
But, I will agree that Loughlin and her husband got off easy. She should've spent a lot longer in jail than she did or at least been fined enough money to where it actually felt punitive. This is basically a soft slap on the wrist for something that deserved to have the entire book thrown at them.

Spoilers...obviously.
I was shocked that they brought Luke back. In the episode "The Tragedy," when Grogu uses the stone to communicate with another Jedi, I figured about the only people who would've been able to reach would be Luke, Ezra Bridger (from Rebels), or maybe a new character we weren't aware of. Given that they'd already teased Asohka's solo series where she'll be searching for Thrawn (so that she can find Ezra), it seemed unlikely that it'd be Ezra. And, given how much disdain for Luke that the moron Kathleen Kennedy and her "the Force is female!" dipshit acolytes have shown, I was highly doubtful we'd ever see Luke again, especially since Kennedy was so instrumental in allowing "Ruin" Johnson to shit all over the character in the horrible "The Last Jedi."
But, when Red 5 zoomed onto the screen...gotta admit I got goosebumps. Still wasn't sure when he was slashing his way through the halls (on the monitor) if it was really him. But, man oh man, when that green lightsaber burst on screen, I was cheering out loud. Literally had tears when he decimated his way through the hallway leading to the bridge, just like his papa at the end of Rogue One. Couldn't help but cry a little when he took off his hood and they played his theme. My first childhood hero was back and finally got to be the ultimate bad ass that he should've been in TLJ, but we were denied because Johnson made one of the shittiest movies of all time.
When Mando took off his helmet and finally showed his face to lil' baby Grogu, that hit me in the feels pretty hard too.
Then R2 showed up and made everything better.
Overall it was all so bittersweet, but that's where Grogu's story had to go. Not sure it's the end of his story, though. He's too much of a cash cow for Disney, so I feel they've gotta bring him back at some point. But it was a beautiful end to that story arc and the last 10 to 15 minutes of that finale were perfection for me.
Also loved the tease for "The Book of Boba Fett." That should be interesting.
So many cool story directions they can go in now. I think Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have done an incredible job with Mando, especially this season, and it's more evidence why Favreau, not Kennedy, should be in charge of Lucasfilm (and should've been from the start).

It's at least a little nice to see that idiot getting roasted by most of the replies to her idiotic "millions" tweet.
But, to be fair, Pence is moving the goalposts here. The original claim was that they would have "vaccinated 20 million people" by the end of the year, NOT that they would "distribute 20 million vaccines."
That's sort of like your boss telling you "the money will be in your account on Tuesday" and then later saying "I'll mail the check on Tuesday" and trying to pretend those mean the same thing.

Geez. Dude just got elected. Way too young to go, especially like that.
RIP.
This vaccine distribution needs to hurry the hell up.

To hold onto the vid for the past 3 or 4 years, just waiting for a chance to ruin this girl's life, seems like the behavior of a sociopath. That is some next-level pettiness and hatred and reflects some deep psychological issues.
Yes, the girl shouldn't have said what she did, but maybe she's changed as a person over the past few years? They interviewed a black friend of hers who is defending her, claiming that she was remorseful and apologized long ago for this (yes, I know that comes off as a "I'm not racist, I have a black friend" defense, but it is what it is).
Holding mistakes and bad decisions against people that they made in adolescence is morally bankrupt stupidity and people who do such things are pure trash. Every teenager is an idiot and does dumb things. Lots of them erroneously think that being transgressive is "cool" or "funny." Lots of kids go through an "edge lord" phase.
But, saying something stupid in the heat of the moment pales in comparison to the sociopathy of holding onto a 3 second vid of brief stupidity for years just waiting for the "perfect time" to destroy someone's life. That's a level of "fucked up in the head" that is indefensible, though I find it unsurprising that the NYT is doing just that. That person needs therapy and possibly meds, not to be lionized by what is basically now an SJW trash rag (NYT) with an international following.

Not too familiar with Hank Johnson, but Matt Gaetz often gives Gohmert a run for his money in terms of stupidity.

Not surprised in the least. The left has some sort of blind spot for China.
'Member when Nazis threw Jews into internment camps and people freaked out?
'Member when the US threw Japanese (and anyone who "looked Japanese") into internment camps and people freaked out?
'Member when China threw Uyghurs into internment camps and...crickets?

God, I can't stand the Paul douchebags. They're just horrible, awful people and the world would be better off if they'd just go away. Of all the people that get "cancelled" by "cancel culture," why can't those dipshits ever go after the Pauls, who actually deserve it?
Sigh, oh well. I hope Mayweather beats his ass but there's a definite size difference there. As long as they have a good ref who will break it up when they tie up in the ropes, Mayweather will be fine. But if the ref is shitty or otherwise too lenient and lets Paul tangle him up in the ropes and get some good shots in, he could hurt Mayweather because, like him or not, Logan's got some size to him.
As much as I think both Pauls are miserable wastes of oxygen, I can't fault them for their marketing savvy. Everyone hates them and they know it, so they've done a good job of capitalizing on that (literally) by monetizing people's hate for them with these boxing matches. It's basically a "come see if we get our asses kicked" spectacle that they hype the crap out of because they know that more buys means more millions for them.
Doesn't matter if they win or lose the matches, they make tens of millions from it. The more people hate them, the more money they can make with these matches.

Yeah, I'm in the middle of season 4 and it is starting to taper off for me in terms of holding my interest. Part of that might also just be because I've been binging it and even that can get boring after a while. I probably just need to take a break for a few days.
Sometimes the slow-moving plot is a good thing but after a while it starts to become kinda boring. In a way, the pacing kind of reminds me of the old Dragon Ball Z cartoons, where it would literally take 20 episodes just for a fight between Goku and Frieza to even start. Just get on with it!
Even though Battlestar Galactica (the Ron Moore version) missed the mark a little bit in its last season, I think it's still the best scifi of the past 2 decades. The Expanse is good, but it ain't BSG-level good.
I'll probably catch up to where they are in season 5 of Expanse this weekend.

Disney+ isn't bad. Only cost me $80 for the year and I've gotten a lot of use out of it. I find that I use Amazon Prime the least. There's just not a lot of original content on it that I give a crap about. Netflix is okay and there are a few good series I like on it.
Unfortunately, HBO Max isn't available north of the border yet, but when Justice League comes out, I might have to sign up and use a VPN.

Does anybody watch it?
Can we talk about that season 2 finale?
Pretty much the greatest season finale ever?

Has anyone watched this before?
I'm a huge fan of the Mass Effect video game series. Despite the issues with ME3, overall the series is still my all-time favorite. Amazing story in the first two games.
Anyway, I kept hearing comparisons between the story of Mass Effect and The Expanse. Not direct 1-to-1 comparisons, just that some story elements and the mood of the two were very similar.
So, decided to start watching it this weekend and it's pretty good. The tone kinda reminds me a bit of the Robert Moore "Battlestar Gallactica" on SyFy from about 15 years ago (Geez, has it been that long already?).
Anyway, anyone else seen it? If you haven't and you like sci-fi, I recommend it.

Yeah, that was shocking news. Dude just had a freaking fantastic dog-collar match with Cody Rhodes only a couple of months ago. I thought he'd been out all this time due to an injury or something, maybe from that match, and they were just gonna sell it for his eventual return. He had so much potential in AEW. Likely a future champion. Had no idea it was anything this serious, especially not something that required him being admitted to the Mayo Clinic. He's roughly my age and shit like this always makes me unnecessarily contemplate my own mortality. Ugh. RIP.

BTW, we kinda of need an entertainment forum here. Could probably ax some of the forums nobody posts in anymore and replace with an entertainment forum for movies, TV, video games, wresting, etc. Done.
