I think it was the media overestimating Sanders appeal in the overall Dem electorate. A lot of the polls media companies take are done online, which is biased toward younger people. The issue is, many of them don't vote. So, sure, NBC launches an online poll that finds large support for Sanders, particularly among young people, but many of those young people are not old enough to vote (and are just saying that they are for the poll), or are undergraduates who aren't going to vote anyway, and are dazzled by his promises of "free everything."
But, their votes in these online polls don't seem to really translate into votes at actual polls.

I know it's the post, but...https://nypost.com/2020/03/04/elizabeth-warren-considering-dropping-out-of-presidential-race/
Who is left besides Biden and Bernie? I really think the DNC got involved here, telling everyone to drop out for the good of the party so Biden got the nomination.

Oddly enough, she also sent out a new fundraiser email today asking for more money "to continue the momentum."
I'm not sure that she and her campaign staffers sufficiently grok what "momentum" means, because it doesn't mean getting trounced so badly nationwide that you can't even get higher than a distant 3rd in your home state.

Bloomberg won American Samoa, though. That's exactly the kind of momentum he needed to be competitive in the upcoming North Dakota caucus.

Warren finally dropped out. That's good but I'm a little surprised. Based on her past behaviour, I figured she'd be a bit more stubborn than that.

So... is there any way Biden doesn't get the nomination at this point?

More importantly, if Biden does get the nomination, when will he realize that he did and will he know what it's actually for?

Heard an interesting theory on the radio the other day. To whit:
Biden's excellent performance in the Super Tuesday primaries was a consequence of him not having enough time to really campaign in any of those states. The more he campaigns in a given state, the worse he does.
